PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE

We constantly strive to improve our performance and ourselves.

Our History

Our mission began in 1935, when a group of farmers, the Tennessee Farm Bureau, and some county agents banded together to develop a way for farmers to gain a dependable supply of quality seed. It was the start of a movement for southern agriculture. We have a proud tradition of being farmer-owned and locally focused, making the necessary changes throughout the years to protect our mission to help the southern farmer succeed. We’ve accomplished this through organic growth and a series of mergers with each season having taught us lessons about how we could serve them better. This looked like adding services, fertilizer, crop protection, grain elevators, and fuel supply - all while adopting new technology along the way.

In 2020, our parents - WinField United, Alabama Farmers Cooperative, and Tennessee Farmers Cooperative - decided to bring together three financially strong organizations to form a new GreenPoint Ag. One that positions us to live out our vision - to be the premier provider of agronomy in the southern US. We didn’t stop there - adding Tri-County Farmers Association to the team in 2022.

Today, we remain focused on the mission to help our growers succeed in an ever-changing world, and we look forward to what we’ll build together.

Today, we are owned by Alabama Farmers Cooperative, Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, Winfield United, Farmers, Inc., Tipton Farmers Cooperative, and Tri-County Farmers Association, all of which have a rich legacy of serving farmers and rural communities.

Today, we benefit from the decisions we’ve made over the years.

We’ve developed resiliency and an understanding of the need to change. This gives us an open mind on “what can be” rather than insisting “this is how it’s always been done.”
We’ve pushed forward with our digital offerings, and we’re proud of the productivity and profitability gains we’ve delivered for customers because of our ag technology tools.
We’re transparent and honest, and we are concerned first and foremost about the health and fiscal welfare of our grower customers and facilities.
We’re more prepared to face the future than other ag retailers no matter what changes may occur in decades to come.
